This concludes the political negotiations on the Clean Energy for all Europeans Package, which represents a major step towards the completion of the Energy Union. For the energy storage sector, the Package promises to deliver important changes that could have a significant impact on the different storage business cases, both front-of-meter and behind-the-meter. • The ‘Clean Energy for all Europeans’ Package (CEP), tabled by the European Commission on 30 November 2016, represents the most comprehensive update to EU electricity legislation to-date.
